Best movie you've seen recently.
Just watched Equilibrium for the first time... so good. Ah man. No idea why it wasn't more popular when it came out...
Anyway, what's the best movie you've seen in the past few weeks?

Harold and Kumar escape from Guantanamo Bay & Journey to the center of the earth.
I watched both very very inebriated, and JTTCOTE was amazingly trippy in 3d.I would rather die on my feet then to live on my knees.

Hancock was surprisingly good, I thought.
I thought Cloverfield was pretty awful though. Didn't go for the whole home movie feel to it

Of the many movies I've seen lately, the best was Miyazaki's Castle in the Clouds. It's also my favorite Miyazaki movie, and I may have seen them all now. The runner up, beating out all the movies I've seen recently, is season 3 of Weeds, which I'm about 2/3 through.

The last movie I saw was Shoot 'Em Up, which was violently awesome. I loved it. It is what it is; it's not a great story-driven movie, it's just an action-filled, gory, adrenaline-pumping in-your-face shoot 'em up movie, and I love it for that.
Undoubtedly the movie I'll be going to see Monday (I can't get to town Friday
) will blow it away, though.
