I was trying to point out that there are women above men on the equality beam and there are men above women...just as there are men above men and women above women. The question is an non-question...

when there prejudice there's inequality. The day we run out of our prejudices is the day that people are extinct.

But that doesn't mean we should stop pursuing it. We can at least eliminate alot of prejudice within ourselves.

Why are you not in the kitchen?

Araozco stated in another thread that women were put on Earth for men's entertainment.

So with that thought, I guess she can't see any difference in the equality balance.

Men can argue that we do all the work, we run the world, men run industry, men built the space station, einstein was a man, a man invented the lightbulb, a man discoverd gravity, men explored new countries.
On the other hand women say "We give birth" But if it wasn't for men they couldn't give birth in the first place.. LOL

i just realized that everyone except the thread starter is a guy..

anywho, idk i dont think we will ever be equal just because we have too much self pride to admit when someone is better than us. Ya know? I don't think either men nor women are superior or whatever. Men are good at somethings, where as women are good at things men are not. we balance each other out. like the whole birth thing, women GIVE birth but men make women pregnant (and then usually abandon the girl.. just saying).

i can see a difference but not a big one at all. the reason i stated that is because, it is true, eve was created by god, for adam,(u dont know how hard it is for mr to agree with this statement) but he made us from adam's rib to be at his side not his feet. yet our purpose is sort of as entertainment, agree or not, it's the truth. read a bible or two.

A bible doesn't prove anything, and this isn't R/S.

If women are only for entertainment, then obviously men are meant to be higher than women in equality.

Like Sandform said, there are men higher than women, but there are also women higher than men on the scales of equality.

i didn't say only for entertainment, i said sort of for entertainment, and the kind of entertainment i mean is company. not poledancer. and yes (once again i hate admitting this) men are higher than women, religiously. but my queston isn't if they are equal religously cause i have my own thing for that, it's wether they are out here in the world.
although sandform has a point that men and women can be higher and lower than eachother, does it mean we are or ever will be equal, was my question.

If you realize that there are men and women higher than each other in equality then we're obviously not equal. As long as humans have free will there will never be total equality.

The answer is no, we are not equal, and yes we we are all equally unequal. It doesn't matter what gender you are it matters what your name and social security number is....

There are more men in higher positions than women, so on that basis men are more important, how many women fly passenger jets? How many women build skyscrapers, cathedrals? If all the men all of a sudden disappeared i wonder what the women would do......
