Everything is a con-game that's given to the public. Even the exposés are con-games. It's fantastic, what a reality we live in. Most never figure it out; they fall into the traps. As I say, tonight I could have talked about all the other things that are given out for us to natter about and worry about and burn our brain cells over, real things that are happening, definitely happening, but really by the time we hear about them it's over. Even the world meetings they have to do with censoring the internet were done long ago, and they set out their resolutions and their timetables and how to take it down. It is true that Canada is to be the test base, as Bell and Telus merge together in this effort to bring on the big cable company organizations, the well-known ones, all the mainstream, and bring it into the internet, then eventually you'll have to pay for all the smaller sites—even to look into them. You'll have to pay for each little site you look into, as they phase out all the nuisance factors; but why go in there, it's a done deal.


It was designed before they gave us the internet, how to get us hooked on it, how to market it, because when you're hooked on info or data, just data, you won't be able to throw the thing out the window when it's of no more use to you. You'll still listen to the data, regardless of who supplies it; they know this. Since most folk have already adapted with their banking and everything on the internet, they can't do without it now. They can't imagine any other way than this. That's how fast we adapt, amazing.


Tonight I'm going to go into some of this reality and how it's created for us, and the techniques used to give us different versions, upgraded versions of Plato's Cave. That's a good place for us to start because Plato gave a description of how people were brought up in a cave, who were basically fixed in one position, could only see towards the back of the cave, had a whole philosophy of reality based upon the shadows that came from the light behind them and projected onto the walls of the cave. Everything about their reality had to fit the cave, had to fit in to the cave and the structure of the cave and everything they knew about the cave. One day an insider broke out into the big, wide world, travelled it, came back and tried to give them reality and they turned on him. They didn't want to hear it. It upset their whole paradigm, so they'd want to kill him, you see. That's what you have today. Truth hurts, truth is very, very painful, especially the truth about how we've all been conned our whole lives and our parents before us down through the last few hundred years at least.

The methods of creating a reality for small groups of people were done thousands of years ago by rearing children in what we would call today a "laboratory," and giving them a whole new reality with different gods and all the rest of it; and sure enough, just like Plato's Cave, they'd grow up trying to fit everything into that reality that they'd experienced from then on. It must fit in to that reality, stuffed in, even though it doesn't really want to go, they'll stuff it in. That's how the big sciences work, because if you can control small groups of people, when you standardize everything, education, information, across the world, you can do it with a whole global population eventually.

In 2004 I mentioned an article that went around mainstream newspapers of one of the advisors to presidents. Now, the advisors are very, very important people. They are taught the sciences of the mind and the mass mind, behaviourism and so on. They understand all the marketing ploys which are used to put out the PR [Public Relations] to the public and how we will perceive things. There's an old saying, if you have three or four men marching in step, you can do an awful lot more than a hundred men all walking at their own pace and doing their own thing.

He would get little snips out of newspapers, alter them, photocopy the new one, and then he put all the old stuff, the old histories, down the "memory hole" where it was burned up. That took time as he pasted these things together, photocopied and so on. Today, I can read something, like that thing that happened on Channel 4 about the great weather scam hoax that was heavily attacked by the big foundation that set up to promote the global warming scam. I read from the article that was put out that day; the following day they changed the article, even got in different names in it, in fact. That's how fast they can alter things and put it down the "memory hole" today with the internet—the speed of light, basically. They say "seeing is believing," so that becomes your reality, that's all that's left. In the blink of an eye, that's how it's done.

These agendas were made a long time ago. I keep telling you about the long-term business planning that goes in to running the world. Remember that his descendant Charles Galton Darwin wrote the book called "The Next Million Years". The next million – what a boast, that's quite the target to set, the next million years, quite an ambition. They mean business, these guys, these inbred "yaf" (yaf is a good old Scottish word), these inbred "yafs" that have these specific genes they love to pass on to each other that guarantees the psychopathic offspring. They own the world supply of money, they own the systems of the world, they own the mineral rights of the world, and they truly do believe they own us too. By legalities and birth certificates and obligations that you sign, they do own you. They're very, very legalistic and we always fail to see it.

Actually the more I think of it, the more I realize, this kind of attack is highly offensive and over laced with hate and over negativity. This is definitely not something anyone should subject themselves to.

Somewhere in the chaotic evolution of human civilization the conceptualized path towards enlightenment became a marketing tool. It is used to sell us idealized images of ourselves, post-journey. One can hardly tune in to any flavor of mass media without being pitched some program of self-improvement. The bestseller lists are clogged with self-help titles in genres hardly imagined a decade ago. Existential crisis seems to be the malady that plagues every American. We can hardly bear the ennui of our post-modern world: formless, godless, and with little indication where one should begin or end outside of the mortal inevitabilities. The quest for certainty or at least guiding principles has become an obsessive one for many people. We chant mantras, recite affirmations to our reflections in the mirror, wear magnetized jewelry, and practice pagan rituals while awaiting the big bang of mental clarity that is surely lurking around the next corner. We sit and wait for revelations to come to us in dreams or visions.


This dilemma is not a new one. In Plato's Republic, Socrates discusses a paradigm for improvement over the life course commonly referred to as the Allegory of the Cave. The basic outline is very simple. Socrates envisions humans as endlessly trapped in a cycle of self-delusion. He uses a dark cave where unwitting humans are chained to the wall with no hope of escape or knowledge of their condition. Plato posits that the perceptive capabilities of humans are nearly absent naturally and can only be developed over time.

Humans in their unenlightened beginnings are symbolized as imprisoned at the back of a dark cave. The prisoners face the cave wall and their only impressions of reality are shadows cast by passersby carrying models of the real world objects. The passersby carry toy versions of common objects (which can symbolize concepts in life less literal than their representations) over their heads while traveling a footbridge in front of a roaring fire. The captives see only the shadows cast on the cave wall and take them to be reality. The path towards enlightenment starts with one of the prisoners breaking free and beginning the journey out of the cave. He makes his way to the outside world where a ship is waiting to take him out into the real world.

The trip out of the cave is painful for the escapee. After an entire life spent in darkness and being deceived how can someone not be crushed by the sense of time wasted? The prisoner is assaulted by sunlight, deafened by the sounds of the outside world, and pained by the fulfillment of his never developed senses. Socrates attaches significance to this uncomfortable process of becoming aware. He speaks of the process of leaving the cave as initially motivated by curiosity and continued out of need to leave the lie that he has been living. Socrates also believed that once the process began it was impossible to go back into the cave.

The distinguishing factor between Socrates' conception of becoming enlightened and other systems' is that, ideally, one who is liberated will want to go back into the cave to rescue others. This allegorical journey from the bowels of the cave to the outside (real) world is representative, to Socrates, of the ultimate goal of a person's lifetime. Much like the Buddhist bodhisattva, an awakened person should feel compassion towards his former neighbors in the cave and postpone his own trip to "the promised land" or "nirvana" in the Buddhist canon to bring some of them into the light. In Socrates' view, this desire to save others from a dreary life full of illusion and self-deception correlates naturally with gaining wisdom although it stems more from a sense of love for humanity than a need for self-abnegation (holiness.) In much of their philosophy, both Plato and Socrates stressed internalized need as proper motivation for genuinely good deeds rather than fear of damnation or expectation of divine reward. Socrates characterized the reformed cave dweller as filled with compassion for his fellow humans and disgusted with the life of illusion that he once led. Although the symbolic cave they emerge from leads to a bleaker existence than the illusion they have been trapped in, only one opts to go back. Plato held that there was no returning to the familiar deception once the spell of belief in a false reality had been broken. In The Matrix, however, there is no nirvana, no promised land to be journeyed to. The reality that the cave dwellers (literally in this sense - captives held in dormitory cocoons) enter is less pleasing to the senses but is real. The awakened sleepers find the concrete world a harsher one but preferable to the artificial one that they inhabited. This preference concurs with Plato's assertion that once something has been proved false to both the sensorimotor and cognitive mind it is impossible for thinking people to revert to falsity. So, after the initial culture shock of being reborn into reality and taking the first bracing breath of cold air outside of the cave (or in this case, cocoon) the journey out of the cave is irreversible. Plato asserts that the human mind cannot not truly deceive itself despite the relative comfort the lie may have provided. Even children take this conceptual leap when the truth about Santa Claus is revealed to them. Plato finds this hunger for truth innate in human nature.
