Sex Education
Not sure where this post should be. . .
I'm just curious about the sex education is like over the world.
I live in South Afica and we start learning about sex in Grade 4 (10 years) and it continues for 8 years. I think we have such a long period of time is because of the number of people with HIV-AIDS in Africa.
Just curious.

Sexual education is all over the world, I'm from the U.S. and the school I went to had a sex ed class in 6th grade and after that I never had another sex ed class.
-
Canada reporting; had sex ed from early grades (5ish) till high school. Although, during high school it was only a weekly thing. Gym teachers teaching it too. It was pretty bad.

i didn't have sex ed till 9th grade... i knew about sex thogh caused i studied.

I've only had two dedicated Sex Ed classes, one in fifth grade then one in sixth grade I believe. The classes weren't regular, they were just on one day...Then I never had it again.
Of course my typical Health classes talked about Sex Ed, but not really.

Had one in 8th grade...
Lousy replacement for what your parents should teach you, and much more awkward.
-
Had it in 7th grade. They never actually told us how to have sex though XD We also have health classes we are forced to take that give us all the info (and some mis-info) about STDs and such.
I've known about sex since 3rd grade. I wasn't aware of the concept of vagina until 5th, however.

We learn about it here in sweden as well but not until a little bit later.
I have never gotten any since i moved to another school that already studied it, just before my previous school started to study it XD
