Actually fire is a bad idea when it comes to killing zombies.
They'll be on fire and continue their attack. Which in turn will set your fortress on fire.
Pssshhhh I'd be out there hunting the zombies.
Besides, my "lair" is an abandoned factory. Lots of metal, not much to burn. :)

And the great thing is, he's only classed as a vehicle, leaving you free to bring along Adriana Lima or whoever.
I shouldn't rekindle an old fire, but... having a sword as a secondary weapon? Great idea. Having only swords as weapons? terrible idea. Unless you have a katana, claymore, or the like, you won't be able to cut through bones and tendons. This is if we are talking about the kind of zombies that can only be killed by removing the head or destroying the brain. Not only this, but swinging a sword requires a lot of energy, in addition to carrying it around, with all your other loot and equipment. A gun (especially a pistol) takes no energy to point and shoot, unless it's a large round and has a lot of recoil. If we are still talking about headshot only zombies, anybody with an automatic weapon would be dead. It would require a tremendous amount of ammo, which takes up space, and anything but a headshot would just knock it back a few inches. M4 would be especially useless, as a 5.56mm round has very little stopping power. Grenades kill by fragmentation, and as such, might blow off an arm or a leg, but leave them crawling after you. It's all explained in the zombie survival guide. Semi Automatic, lever action, and bolt action are the way to go! Shotguns have the same effect as a rifle with slugs, and will rarely kill a zombie at more than 20 feet. Good back up weapon though, it would knock them over. Anyways... I'll make two. Armor: Web system vest with utility pouches: 4 on front, and one on each side, kevlar plates on my arms and legs ( about 90% of zombies bites are on the limbs ), short hair.
Battle Anthem:Bullets by Creed
Sidekick: That awesome guy from shooter. The one that can get two headshots with a bolt action .22 from 600 feet and make a silencer out of a 2 liter bottle. Yeah.
Stronghold: Imperial Castle
Location: None other than the Emerald Isle!
Last words: I hope you SOBs choke on my bones! (stolen from Fallout 3. Replaced a more choice word. )

Yup.
That's what I based most of my answers on. The reason I chose a bike, crowbar, and lever action instead of a jeep, shotgun, and M60. I think I know that book cover to cover, every bit of information by now.

Stingray allows easy access to the Island's various aquatic niches. Would have ammunition chaches stashed around the forest - para-dropped in. Poncho and revolvers make gunslinger awesomeness.
It was Katamari or the theme to the original Django. Tough call.
Navi is there because Navi can identify enemies when you hit Z and C-up.
Epic spoiler is that Dark Tower allows reset when times are bad.
