Hint4: there's 2 very obvious letters that need to be added together per word, the result of which can be used to decode the word via simple subtraction. The value of a letter is obvious, A=1 B=2 C=3 etc... Just position in the alphabet.

Any better?

If you add the values of the two capitals, you get L G O V C, or 12 7 15 22 2.

Subtract 12 from the values of each letter in word one and you get "pass".
Subtract 7 from the values of each letter in word two and you get "me"

Continue this and you get "Pass me the salt please"
That was one of the hardest codes I've ever had to crack!
Can we please only try to post another code after the others have been cracked?
No one cracked that "LMPEARFHR FODQRAD GRST" you posted yet RooJ, have they?
Let's work on that one first, and whoever cracks it first gets to post another code.

I was first put off by the blocks of 5 characters which kinda sent me down the wrong path.. The first thing i thought of when I read the second block was the word "HELP" due to the contents, and that brought me back to a different way of thinking.. Eventually it just kinda hit me...
Skip every second letter, when you reach the end of the text continue from the start but work through the skipped letters instead. We get:
T H E L O R D I S M
-Y S H E P H E R D
OR
The Lord Is My Shepherd

Edit: Can also seperate the text into 2 columns and read vertically for speed:
