Because there is no evidence. Not to mention the religions that exist are pretty much the only portrayal of god that we have, and that portrayal makes me want to shove my foot up his ass.

actually, recent studies have shown that you can indeed beleive in nothing.

But nothing is something. something is everything. everything is something, and something is nothing. therefore, nothing is everything, which proves that you believe in everything, which would include his god.
