Everyone must answer! Are you for or against neutralizing the holiday season as to not offend anyone?
Christmas is Christmas, damn it, I don't care what anyone tries to say. It's all a commercial holiday anyway, what does it have to do with religion anymore?
Instead of censoring Christmas, maybe we should broadcast the other holidays more.
Well the way I see it, why do we need to? Are places gonna claim their sales are for Hanuka? or Kwanzaa? Christmas is commercialized because it is the second most important holiday of Christianity. Hanuka isn't even a high holiday. It isn't really a huge deal in Judaism. And I have no idea about Kwanzaa, but the point still stands.
Many people are offended that there's an attitude of Christianity being more important than any other religion in America, when America is supposed to be a democratic melting pot of religions and cultures, and I can see that point of view. But why try to stifle Christmas? It's the best holiday ever invented!
btw, the whole "America was built on Christianity" or "America is a Christian nation" is a lie. It was originally built on secular values, especially separation of church and state. That's why we don't call ourselves a theocracy.
Yea, and like I said, if any Jewish person complains, it has nothing to do with Christmas and has everything to do with not liking that Christianity is more popular in America. And they can pick up any history book and see why that is.
