I hope to see the people I love most smile, for them to be reaallly happy(and everybody else aswell of course!). I love xmas though, cuz I like giving presents. I wish I had more money. Hmm, on 2nd thought I will put bags of money on my wishlist so I can hand out presents! ^_^ And buy a santaclaus outfit, it would have to be a sexy santa suit though =P A new Irish whistle(a good one) would be nice for myself, but somebody is getting me one already because they are going to Ireland this week anyways. So yay.

Funny that, because it was yesterday she was saying that she didn't mind things going off topic sometimes....

heh, yeah just take a look at my 'dreamviews poem' topic in senseless, i even asked for people to stay on topic but that didnt stop everywone.

Apparently people dont respect the original posters posting guidelines in senseless banter, and when challenged would probobly just say 'well it is senseless banter'

just because this is senseless banter doesnt mean people can go and wreck threads for fun. Especially when theyve been asked to not do it explicitly.

Yeah, right. The reason DV is different from other forums is that we "wreck" threads for fun. Let's just place rules everywhere and bitch when they're broken, great idea! If the topic goes off topic fast, it probably means that it wasn't a good topic in the first place or you were just damn unlucky. Oh well. I can understand that if the thread isn't in senseless banter, you should stay on topic for at least a few pages. But when you reach say, 9+ pages on a topic, it's bound to deviate and then bitching about it is just stupid (in the case of philosphy topics, etc). In this case, both topics that are chronical off-topicers are this one and your poem. neither has gone past the 2nd page without getting "wrecked", but as you put yourself, it's in senseless banter. As long as a topic has a topic to it, don't expect people to abide by your rules for long. We're here to have fun, not to be grumpy assholes about everything and promote agressiveness (not that you were intending to, obviously).

Like Kaniaz said, we aren't here to be super-strict rule whores. Many a form crumples to pieces because of Nazi-like admininistrators and mods who take simple fun comments and ban each user, or threaten people. DV isn't at all like that.
