Everyday I'd make the background colour a tad more yellow. Every blue would eventually be phased into gold.

I'd probably enforce one or two more people into staff to keep things a little more secure, upgrade the chatbox to a less shittier one, but leave mostly everything how it is. This forum is great already in my opinion. Oh, actually I might create a new set of smilies that aren't so ugly.

Moderators would be elected to one-year terms. I would appoint two admins and have a third elected. Existing mods and admins will remain and this system will be used to appoint their replacements down the road.

Flashchat, meet AJAX chat.

The site would also get various improvements. I would reach out and try to form parnerships with world leaders on lucid dreaming to provide premium content to interested members.

Minimal to no new ads, although existing ones would remain.

I'd give MoS and Ynot admin rights and root access and let them fix whatever was wrong.

Add a secret sub-form for catgirls.

I would increase the sig and avatar limitations.

Podcasts would be another excellent "official" addition. You can place brief ads in the beginning of each one and squeeze out an extra $10 or so in revenue.

I would fix the crappy server, first and foremost. Then, I would scrap flashchat and replace it with something that actually WORKS on a regular basis. From there, I would appoint mods pretty much like Mini said. Oh, and I would make sure that someone who knows what the hell they're doing is able to go in and improve the site as needed.

First of all, I'd give MoS root access, as khh said. Then I'd buy IPV and update it. Then I'd go about it as I would any other forum I admin.

...Or just buy it and let people who know what they're doing help me run it. That's probably what I'd do.

Nah, that's the worst one so far. I'd rather someone with the know how run the site effectively rather than fuck around with colors and and doing dumb shit like that.

To start a forum, you only need about $100 a year. And if you get it active enough, you could make all your money back every year, and probably more.

Yeah that's clever. Spend a $100 or so to host your own forum and mess around with the colors and see how much of return you'll get on your investment. ridiculous.
