Eh.
Honestly, I think the progression of human rights, rationality, peace and sustainable living is MUCH more important to have than materialistic technological advances. I don't care for a future with flying cars or jet packs at all. I know this is SB, but whatever...
I want sexy technology. Oh well... perhaps in a decade, or so...
It's the way of the future...th-the way of the future...way of the future
Come in with the milk
I hope that by the time all that stuff comes, we wont be too old for that shhhh... i mean stuff... (EDIT :/ )
like how old people nowadays have to go to classes to learn how to email and stuff. I'd hate to be like that...
Shouldn't the Monolith be igniting Jupiter as a second sun any time now?

you really just have to open your eyes and look around, the media and your government only show you what they think you need to see on a day to day basis. if you look for the reports and articles on it you'll almost always find something you thought didn't exist. You just have to weed threw the bullcrap.

Much of what Calvin said was probably envisioned or even possible at the time the strip was made. But the real question is, is any of what he described yet commonplace or practical?
Technological progression is hauling ass. Most of the stuff mentioned in the Calvin and Hobbes cartoon will be common in the next few decades.
The masons have been holding everyone back in every way imaginable. Techologically, socially, politically.
I feel there is even more wisdom Calvin can offer us for the new year:

Hobbes is so right.
Points for posting Calvin and Hobbes. My mom picked me up another Calvin and Hobbes collection the other day at Salvation Army. Needless to say I have an awesome mom.
Oh, and that's one of my favorite Hobbes quotes. "The problem with the future is that it keeps turning into the present."
I guess none of you are depressed right now in the age of iPhones, Blu Ray and time wasting social networking sites. I doubt another sexy piece of metal and electricity is going to make me any happier. I'd like to still see TREES in the future. You know, real, substantial things.
And this is coming from a computer animator and artist.
