I think I speak in the name of all who are posting in this forum. We want that our post count rises while we post senseless stuff on this forum. Although it is senseless that doesn't give anybody the right to stop us from reaching 1000 posts in one week time. Will anybody second this petiton! The future of the World is at stake here people!!

I think it was made so Senseless Banter wouldn't increase post count because, well, it's just banter, and there would be MAJOR post-count inflation, so much so that post-count would become totally worthless. And I am proud to have 500+ posts now...it signifies that I have been here, and replied to and created posts about at least mostly sensical, thoughtful topics. And that means a lot.

I'm glad senseless posts don't count. They help curb post whoring.

yeah, i feel the same way. I dont think people who post an INSANE amount of senseless posts and/or topics should be rewarded? I dont think so. It's like saying someone's thoughtful and intelligent post would be the same or equal to a post which just consists of "fhdskfhdskfsak;jdsajafjk;" (and yes, someone did make a topic consisiting of that before)

But really, it always amuses me how much 'forumers' care about post count. Who gives a rat's ass if someone has 3 posts or 3000?

I only have a small post count, but ive been here for a long time i feel like. I dont care about post count at all, i contribute to the site and drecive alot of knowladge from it too. The post count should only apply to lucid dreaming bords. Some people may even just post stupid one word anwseres on the senceless form jst to have more post counts... it doenst matter... just keep it the way it is.

normally to get a quick idea of how long someone has been at a forum (this does not apply to everyone, some people join but don't post very often) you (or at least I do) glance at their post count, and I wouldn't want to look and see someone with 1000 posts that they got all in one day through sensless banter :
