Meditation?
I'm new to meditation and I would like to know what are the best methods to start practicing. I've been going through allot of stress lately and I would like to know what techniques I should be starting with, etc. What am I suppose to do with meditation and how can I keep my emotions calm and low? Also is there a meditation for keeping your mind balanced, etc? Sorry, I just wanted to know what I should to to start out with. I've been thinking of allot of things lately and I thought meditation would help me be more calmer and stop thinking allot, etc. If anyone is experienced with meditation could you send me a tutorial that could help me with it? How many hours should I meditate and should I have an alarm clock with me as well? Thanks. :)

Well ill give you the way i meditate.
I sit on the couch and out binaral beats on my ipod. I listen to the rythum and focus on it. Im a MILDer so i say my mantra and focus on each word. But in your case you can just count your breaths or just focus on the beats. I do this for about 30 minutes. But if i start to visualize my dream than ill keep at it for an hour. Then i turn off the beats lay down and keep saying my mantra till i go to sleep.
