First polyphasic attempt

hi, I'm fairly new here, but I've been reading some of the threads on polyphasic sleep, and I read one(can't seem to find it at the moment) about taking 20 minute naps and repeating as necessary, I think it was called wolf napping.
As anyone tried taking 20 minute naps one after another with little time in between?
My plan is to take atleast 6 twenty minute naps at eleven PM or so and take one or two naps at sunrise, again in the afternoon, and again at dusk if I feel they are needed. I read the Ubersleep book and I'm making a big fat list of things to do while I adapt, assuming it works.
I have the iTouch alarm, and a kitchen timer.
I'll keep a composition notebook as well to log the attempt as it goes.

I've found that I function better as a monophasic sleeper, with a short nap on occasion. However many people claim that biphasic or polyphasic sleep improves the quality of their lives. If your schedule permits, you should definitely try it out and see what works best.

If you want 6 20 minute naps , then you're off to do Uberman and the naps have to be 4 hours apart for the schedule to work to its maximum . However its not healthy long term and the first month of adjustment is really agonizing to say the least . I did uberman for about 5 months(exams and senior year) . If you're planning to do Uberman , make sure youre schedule permits .You have to be near spot on with ea of the naps or else it will not work . The schedule must be feasible for every day of the week . The only think you can set is the starting hour of the first nap . Then the rest of the naps must be apart by 4 hours ea . Caffeine is not suggested . Also try receiving help from a family member .

Now a bit off topic . If you want something more flexible than uberman you can try Biphasic sleep or Everyman 3(or 4) . Personaly I am on a long term Biphasic Sleep (since the age of 7) ,however only since recently have I been doing it with less than 7 hours . Hope this helps

If you really do try this you should keep us posted. I read about the Uberman Cycle and it sounded very interesting. I'm curious what effect it would have on dreaming and lucid dreaming.
