      Everyman Sleep

So I was thinking about doing the Everyman (core sleep + naps. Around 4 hours to 4.5 hours sleep a day). Mainly because I spend 7 hours at school every day, plus I need to do homework, revision, cleaning, cooking, and all that stuff. I'm also the type of person who needs around 9-11 hours of sleep in order to feel awake and alert. It might just be my age, but I don't get that very often and it takes its toll on me.

I have exams coming up I need to cram for, and I still want to be able to relax and see my friends without rushing about like a mad teenager. It's also something I just want to experiment with

The main things I'm concerned about is sleeping at school. No matter which way I put it, I'm going to need to nap during school each day. So probably 20 minutes at lunchtime (I get 55 minutes) is best. I just don't know where I could sleep undisturbed and I wonder what my friends would think. I'm not the type of person to tell people about this kind of thing, but I think if I try this I might need to tell them so I can sit in a corner and snooze for awhile.

I'm also worried I'll run out of things to do and just end up sitting awake at night, bored out of my skull. I know I could just switch back but I'd like to try this. I do need the extra time at the moment, but when the holidays come etc I don't know. I might just need to dig deep, figure out what I madly want to do and start a shit load of projects

This is just something I've been thinking of doing these past few days. I've known about Everyman and Uberman for awhile, but was always waiting for the holidays to come to try. I also wimped out quite a bit. I decided against Uberman because I need the time to adjust my schedual give or take an hour that Everyman gives you, and I don't need 22 hours in a day.

I've also heard it makes dreams a lot more intense and I figured that since you're going straight to REM, each nap can be a WILD. Which is good if I can get that technique down.

So, if I'm going to do this (I think I will ) I'm going to keep a log of it here.

My times are going to be:
      Core sleep: 11:30pm until 02:30am.
      Naps: 07:30am until 08:00am
      12:30pm until 12:50pm
      05:30pm until 06:00pm.

Well since I had 6 hours sleep last night, what's knocking another hour and a half off of that eh?

I looked into the everyman and I didn't see much scientific backing for it. I could have been looking wrong though... also, I wouldn't start trying it right before exams, I think it takes about a month or two to get used to and if your exams are in about 3 weeks like mine, you could potentially get trapped between two sleep schedules and be very tired for the exams while unable to re-adapt to normal sleeping in time.
