      Sleep and medication equals insomnia

I'm currently on medication and will be on it long termly called Citalopram
But it's causing me to get next to no sleep, last night I got 10 mins sleep. And I'm highly sleep deprived because of it, and I was wondering if anyone know anyway to get yourself to sleep?

In this particular case, I wouldn't wait a day: go see your doctor asap an tell him you're not getting any sleep. Sleep deprivation is no joke so tell your doctor to either change your meds or to give you something so you can be able to rest. I know medication that might give you troubles in the first days/weeks, but if you're getting 10minutes of sleep that's a sign that something is not well.

Keeping in mind that it could be a t least partly psychological, I would say that if this continues you should definitely talk to your doctor as soon as possible. Try to find out (shouldn't be to hard) if this medicine has a history of causing insomnia in some people.
