      Falling asleep.. something strange happened

Ok so the other night, I was laying in bed trying to fall alseep. My mind was in that wonder off stage where it just processes random thoughts as you are trying to sleep and then out of nowhere, (i still had my eyes closed) its like, i woke up and opened my eyes and it was like i had just woken up on the sofa from a nap because i could see it even though my eye were closed.. and i was REALLY confused because for a moment, i couldn't remember where i had fallen asleep and didn't know where i was.

Its hard to explain but i basically had a moment where i felt like i woke up on my living room sofa (even though i was in bed) and i could see it (but my eyes were closed) and i got confused..

Probably makes no sense but has anyone had something similar or could explain to me what happened?

Yes it was probably a false awakining. They are extremely annoying.

This describes the feeling one gets during a False Awakening. It's a common occurrence.

Even without lucid dreaming you can experience that.

To some people they can be entertaining.
