      Achieving Fruitful Sleep Questions

      Hello all fellow dreamers:

Over the past few months, my sleep has been very unproductive. I haven't been remembering my dreams, I rarely wake up feeling refreshed, and I don't feel like I'm getting proper rest. When my days take off, I wake up and feel fine, but the first few hours of the morning are very difficult.

How do I improve my sleep and dreams? With 2 years of hoping for lucid dreams, not one has been within my grasp. ONLY have experienced sleep paralysis once. Dream recall is still negligible.

      Other information:
      1) I'm not a stressful person
      2) I exercise pretty much every day
      3) I have about 3 hours of homework per night
      4) I usually finish my homework only about 30 minutes before sleeping
      5) I wake up to my phone alarm
      6) My room is usually pretty warm/toasty when I wake up. I sometimes sweat while sleeping
      7) I don't drink or smoke... usually

Since you seem to be leading a healthy lifestyle already, I can just tell you a couple things I do that helps with my sleep and dreams (I'm an occasional insomniac):

      - I keep my room very cool. When I'm sweaty, I sleep too light and either wake up alot or don't have much in the way of dreams. Or both.
      - I sleep with a fan on. I use this to keep me cool, but also the white noise seems to help trigger LDs after I WBTB. I know others do this as well and find it equally effective.
      - Take something before bed that contains b6. This is something I don't do often, but others do and report success.
      - Finally, some kind of nighttime routine that is conducive to lucid dreaming. Here's a great guide by RareCola: http://www.dreamviews.com/f12/night-...cidity-132655/

Hope these ideas are helpful. Let me know and good luck!

      hi Rapterbone,

here are some things that increased my sleep and dream recall:

      - Drink enough fluids (water) during the day, otherwise you will wake up with a light headacke every morning (dehydration sign).
      - i quit drinking coca-cola and other sodaᷱs aprox. 2 year ago, which resulted in a much deeper sleep. because the high doses of sugars keeps your body in a pumpt up and tense state.
      - eating healty foods, this has a major influence on your body & mind.
      - using the deep breath technique, this is a great way to become relaxed and get rid of the stess.
      - meditating, this is very helpfull to calm your mind down.

hope this helped a litte bit,

      good luck!
