      My first everyman attempt

      Hello everyone

I decided to do the everyman cycle. I want to do this because i just don't have enough time to do all the things i want.
I was hoping to get some support on my schedule, as i don't know if it is correct.
The plan is to have a 3 hour core sleep and three 20 minute naps.

The first nap after breakfast; 07:20 - 07:40
The second on can be done in my lunchbreak; 12:40 - 13:00
The third when i get back from college; 18:00 - 18:20
and then the core sleep; 23:20 - 02:20

Is this a decent schedule or should i switch some things around? Maybe the core sleep and the last nap a bit later?
      Thnx for the help

It looks really good. If you wanted to make your core nap and your last nap later, then you'd have to move everything else accordingly, since the intervals between naps already look really good as they are. Good luck!

I am concerned about such a sleep schedule. Are you sure that this is overall enough sleep for you? It does not add up to a lot: only 4 hours total if I am calculating this right.

Also the naps during the day being only twenty minutes in length this means that you do not get full sleep cycle benefits, and during core sleep you get only about two full sleep cycles.

Now I am not familiar with the everyman cycle, so it could be that I just don't know enough about the method and am therefore completely wrong on this, but from what I read a normal human full sleep cycle lasts about 90 minutes, and there are benefits to not waking up in mid-cycle. Also in order to get enough rest people need a minimum of x hours of sleep: the exact value of x may vary from person to person, but I do not know whether 4 hours only per day is your needed minimum. I know that my father for a while functioned on too little sleep, but I remember that he was prone to regularly falling asleep when sitting down in a chair as a result whenever he was not active, and that was a sure sign that he was not getting enough rest for his body. You got to listen to your body on how much sleep you need, and heed it. If you routinely do not get enough sleep, your physical health or mind may suffer.
You may say I'm a dreamer.

He's attempting a variation of a polyphasic sleep cycle. In a polyphasic sleep cycle you sleep in more than two chunks of time per day, often in smaller increments depending on the variation. I myself once did Uberman, which is where one sleeps 6 times a day for only 20 minutes each. It's really hell at first until your mind adapts. You learn eventually to compress your sleep cycle into only x amount of minutes per nap. Mine was 17 minutes. I went to sleep, had a full dream, and woke up without an alarm clock after about that much time had passed.

I can't say anything on its health effects. I stopped because I wanted a social life, and needing to nap at exact times does not go well with having friends.
