I was just reading Musturd's thread on removing blue light sources at night and it put me in mind of a possible solution to a problem I've been having.

I recently covered over my bedroom windows because the sun causes massive amounts of glare on my computer screens. The covers remove the glare while still letting in enough light to illuminate my room, but in the early morning, when I usually need to wake up, there isn't enough light to wake me properly.

An alarm gets the job done, but leaves me feeling groggy and wanting more sleep, no matter how long I slept that night. I'm interested to know if blue LEDs around my room, set to turn on at a certain time would be able to wake me up without the nasty side effects of an alarm.

In short, can blue LEDs, or any blue light source wake me up without making me feel like s**t?
