Missing NonRem and Going Straight to Rem

I know people say that a normal sleep cycle is 60-90 minutes, but I feel like my dreams take up most of the night. Granted, I do wake up every few hours, but I've pressed my snooze button (9 minutes) and fallen straight into a dream. Every once in a while in the morning hours I'll be dreaming, wake up, fall back into the dream, wake up 15 minutes later then again fall back into the dream. It's like a tug-o-war between REM and consciousness. Does anyone else get this?

Dreams start to get more and longer as you progress sleepying throughout the night. In some people early REM dreams can be very vivid so they remember them more, giving them the impression that they have been dreaming all night long. My possible recall starts after sleepying 3-4 hrs, but I best recall those after 5-6 hrs of sleep. There have also been situations where I have fallen asleep directly in REM, but these are rare.

If you hit the snooze button in the late hours of sleep, you may be able to get into dreams many times.

Finally, everybody is different and even sleep patterns will vary from time to time with a person.
