      Fatigue and Hallucinations!

      Hey Guys,

New to this forum, so sorry if there is already a thread! But I have issues with being super tired and fatigued during the day, even after sleeping i don't feel refreshed or rested. I also sometimes have hallucinations when i wake during the early hours of the morning! I first had one about 4 years ago when i woke from sleeping and saw a girl sitting on my boyfriends side of the bed. I thought someone was breaking in and panicked but then she kind of dissipated. As you do, on your first hallucination... you say "GHOSTS!!!" but after having many more following in the last four years i know it's just some sort of medical thing going on when i sleep i think. After all, floating balls of spaghetti don't have ghosts do they?
      So i have seen:
      1 girl
      3 bearded men
      1 giant butterfly
      20 Giant spiders
      1 Jellyfish
      1 ball of spaghetti
      1 raining in my bedroom
      1 crab mythical creature
1 security cameras in my room
1 curtain rail going through the wall

      etc.

I have had a sleep study, apparently not sleep apnoea from what they saw (even though i said i didn't have a normal night sleep with all those cords on me) and then they said it could be a type of narolepsy but that's hard to diagnos. I'm now waiting for results to see if i have hyperthyroidism.
I also have trouble with weight gain and hyperhyrdosis.

      Anyone else have similar things?

Sleep apnea and narcolepsy are the two things I was going to suggest. It sounds a lot like the excessive day-time sleepiness associated with narcolepsy. Do you take any drugs, OTC or otherwise? If so which ones and in what amounts?

Nope! I don't take any drugs whatsoever, don't take any prescribed medication either! I even don't drink coffee and drink alcohol probably like 2 times a year if i'm lucky.

The doctor prescribed me with some Modifinol to trial for nacolepsy but it's like $200 a month's worth or you can go on amphetamines but it's dangerous and addictive and you carry a letter around with you. For a 25 year young girl, i don't think either of these is the answer. Plus that kind of narcolepsy is super rare? So it was weird for him to jump to that without any tests for it i thought? No? He said it would only treat the tiredness anyways and that i can't do anything about the hallucinations. It seemed like the wrong way to do things... just treat the symptoms not knowing the problem in it's entirety.

I don't know what other avenues to look at?
