Hi everyone,
This question has been on my mind for a while.
After I just doze off to sleep, if I am SUDDENLY woken up (like with loud noise, slamming door or somthing) my head hurts like you cannot imagine. I would compare it to being hit with a board across the forehead and it lasts about 15 minutes or so. Everytime I am disturbed like this it feels that way. If I wake on my own or with the clock, I am fine. It is very odd lol.
Does anyone know why this happens and does it happen to anyone else? I dont really think this is a serious medical issue as it fades in a few minutes. I dont know though. Any ideas?

I've asked the same question on this thread...no answers for me.
I have a very similar thing happen to me, noises and chimes go off at key moments of dreaming or when I start to LD. The feeling I get is just plain mixed up and disappointed. A similar reaction to your headaches this is intriguing to me. Well... I for one am glad I'm not the only one this happens to. Not to mean it's good it happens to you or me.
I don't think this (for me anyway) is HH, HI, or HS, since I've experienced those also. Anyway I'm sorry to hear about your headaches that sucks.

Bleh. I have those often and hate 'em. Feels like there's a bunch of little, noisy guys doing construction work inside my head.
I also recently thought it to be some sort of HH or the kind, since I can never fall asleep if I have the slightest headache, yet I fall back asleep rather quickly with this atomic bomb inside my head and it just stops within a minute if I get out of bed :P
The cause? I honestly have no idea. I don't think it's a medical issue either, else it would happen everyday, and I have them pretty much randomly. Usually a couple of nights straight, but mostly I go on for weeks/months without them.

do you guys remember what you are dreaming about or where you are? like prior to waking?
