      Speaking while sleeping

I've always been told by people that I speak while I dream. But lately my speaking has been getting loud enough to the point I wake myself (I find it funny), but anyhow, what could be causing this? I mean is it that my body isn't fully sleep or down while I'm dreaming as to interact in dreams and outside?

I go through periods where I talk a lot more in my sleep to the point that I wake myself up. It comes and goes - sometimes it doesn't happen for a good 6 months, and then all of a sudden it'll be a couple times a week. I'm not sure what causes it either. Just one of those weird dreams things, I guess...

Sleep talking. Haha. I've done that quite a few times in the past i've been told. Im not entirely sure what causes it but I think it's hereditary to some degree. All my sisters and brother do it, my mother does it and so did my grandmother.

My mother said that my sister and I used to have sleep conversations. I don't believe it though. I'd have to see something like that to believe it.

I've never talked in my sleep, but I was told by my best friend that I was moaning in my sleep one night I spent at her house. That was back when I rarely remembered my dreams, so I don't have a clue why. My fiance used to before he knew he had sleep apnea. He can't even talk with the mask on while he's awake.

I did it once, but only when I was little. However, my brother wakes me up yelling at me in his sleep. I know he's yelling at me, and not someone else, because he yells my name and then insults me... like, "Hazel! You freaking idiot! Shut up!" I wish I knew what he was dreaming about.

My cousin speaks when he is sleeping.

my brothers g/f did that once. he called her at about 6 am because shed just went on a trip to somerset. wierd thing is she picked up the phone while she was still sleeping and started sayin loads of random gibberish. my brother tried to tell her she was sleepin but she just argued with him ASLEEP. then she woke up and and wondered why she was on the phone so she hung up.

      Re:Speaking while sleeping

My boyfriend does the same thing! I told him he better not ever cheat on me because I can pull it out of him in his sleep. He has no control over his sleep talk and does not remember. I don't try to take advantage of him too much because one time he caught me trying to ask him questions while I thought he was asleep !!!

When I was younger, I slept on my parents floor on old couch cushions and one night my mom said that when they were going to bed, I sat up, looked around and said "me hear something!" then just fell back over asleep. HAHA thatd be funny to see.

My father told me a story about my mom sleep talking.
Mom: "So your going to hollywood?"
      Mom: "Wow that is interesting."
(She then leaned up and stuck her hand out.)
Mom: "Da Da Da Da Da, Holley wood" (in a singing tone while her hand went from side to side)
(keep in mind she was asleep the entire time)

And my brother told me a story about me...
I sit up in my bed, look at my bro, point at him.
Me: Ooh Da Diddy Wah! (with conviction)
I fall instantly back to sleep, if I wasn't still asleep in the first place.
My brother is in a corner laughing his arse off...He still thinks I was putting a curse on him. pffft I was like 4 how could I do that? lol
