Hypnosis of any kind is really just complete relaxation with mental reinforcement. Of course, I'm referring to what we generally call "hypnosis", not the mindless hypnosis we all enter many times a day when on auto-pilot.

My technique is simply lying down and becoming very relaxed, as relaxed as possible. Then, after I'm completely relaxed, I relax even farther. I try to make my body - all muscles - as loose and limp as possible then work mental exercises, such as reminders to recognise my dreams for what they are: dreams.

There are any number of relaxation techniques one may employ. Mine involves the stretching of every muscle I can. Then I proceed to the relaxation part. It's amazing how much faster and more relaxed you can become when you have stretched all of your muscles first.

This is also, my WILD technique.

Yeah, its the only way i can accually stay awake! And I only have a few techniques and it gets almost boring so I was trying to get different ways. But thank-you, I'll defiantly try stretching tonight

i find that stretching and doing yoga before meditation can really help clear the mind and get me to that point where i have nothing in my mind at all and then i can venture into anything i want to put my mind to, very good tools to have yoga and meditation
