Well i wouldn't say i want to sllep without lucid dreaming but the main focus is getting to sleep. Oneironaut Jeff777 i can't get to sleep using that technique because i wouldn't work for me, and i would find it too boring.

I have no trouble sleeping, not falling asleep.
Yet I have a problem getting tired.. Like, go to bed and shit..

      Same problem?
I know who I am, as I become...

Yeh i have a problem getting tired. Once i get tired i can get to sleep but i don't get tired until really late for some reason even if i have been playing sport before bed.

So i just have to wait until i get tired.

      Getting to sleep technique

Hi! There is a technique from Silva's Mindcontrol Training:

Put yourself to bed, relax, close your eyes and imagine a blackboard.
Draw a circle on it (let it fill almost entire vision field) and write inside number 99 the way digits almost (ALMOST! it is very important) touch the line of the circle.
Then erase the number starting from center with circular, slow movement, very slowly and precisely. DO NOT ERASE THE CIRCLE. You must be extremely focused.
Then write on the board next to the circle word DEEPER.

Next put in the circle number 98 and again erase it with care.
Write again word DEEPER in the same place you wrote it before.

Go again with number 97 and so on. When you reach number 1 start again from 99.

DON'T STOP! DO IT UNTIL YOU FALL ASLEEP! It is the most vital part of this technique. Do it even if it takes all night! But you must do it until you succeed the very first time.

Next time you go to bad you will notice that time needed to fall asleep will be much shorter. And after few tries you wont make to 90

I will be delighted to read about your progress

      Sabi

Very interesting technique, but sounds like you have to sacrifice some sleep initially to master it. I have the problem of falling asleep when I'm focusing/thinking about anything specific, even if it is a relaxation technique. Nontheless I may give this a try.

I seem to find it harder to get to sleep when i am thinking of nothing as strange as it sounds because when i start to think of things Hypnagogic Imagery takes over eventually.
