      Lucidity Experiment

Ok, so, following from another forum post about Seratonin, which I mentioned Melatonin, I am going to try an experiment where I take a lot B6 along with a lot of Pumpkin Seeds which are supposed to contain high levels of Typtrophan(sp?). In theory, this should make a lot of Seratonin, and therefore a lot of Melatonin. It should also give me excellent "REM Rebound" at the end of my sleep cycle, giving me more intense dreams. I'll try this out in the morning, after my night shift and report what happened as soon as I wake up in this thread.

Be warned, this is most likely going to be a very long post. What I will say is that the experiment was a success. I had LOTS of Lucids, and they were all technicolour and surround sound.

      Lucid #1:
I was sent to Gran Canaria on my own to learn about independent living. For some reason the only food I was provided with were microwave school dinners. The event that took place over the week were kind of like a highlights reel flashing before my eyes. But then Matt, my brother came out to see me at this resort. On this last night, I decided to go out and party with my brother. We got very very drunk at the bar I always go to. We staggered back home and collapsed into our respective beds. I fell asleep in the dream and had the following lucid within a lucid.

      Lucid #2:
I was the producer of a TV show. It was a new reality TV show where kids who were hugely talented were helped off the drugs that made them talented, and encouraged to use their own natural talents that the drugs simply enhanced. The TV show wasn't finished, and I had to go in and help these kids myself. Every time they got closer to getting off the drugs, I used my powers to enhance their natural creativity permanently.

I then had a false awakening.

      False Awakening #1:
I was sitting in bed writing in the journal I keep by my bed. But instead of being black it was brown, and instead of the spine being a metal spiral, it was bound together by gaffer tape. I realise this isn't my journal, but it's the only journal by the side of my bed, so I quickly realise that I am dreaming and begin to wake up. As I do, a James Bond-esque figure walks into the room with a pistol shaped cigarette lighter.

I became a bad copy of him, which turned out to be a better James Bond, but he grabbed mt tuxedo and pushed me through the matress.

I then had another false awakening.

      False Awakening #2:
I was writing jibberish in a good copy of my dream journal. But then I began reading back what I had written and realised I had never dreamt these things. Then my MP3 alarm clock went off playing "Valerie" by Mark Ronson, which made me know that I was dreaming as:

      a) My MP3 alarm clock isn't in my room yet and
      b) I really hate that song

I was Noel Fielding from The Mighty Boosh but my face was covered in skeleton face paint. The other guy from The Mighty Boosh was there too (I have never seen this show, just trailers). The opther guy was wearing a top hat and a cape. He assured me that this was all real, and that everything else had been a dream. I put my hand up and asked the guy to punch it. He did and his hand went straight through my hand. I told him this was a dream and I had to wake up and write the dream down. He asked why, and I explained the experiment. He asked me if he would be famous. I told him that people on the internet would read about him, instead of just me knowing about his existance. He smiled and said it sounded like a nice idea. I woke up.

      Lucid #4:
I was in the offices of a place I used to work (The Mortgage Lender, Southampton, I don't recommend working there). I immediately realised it was a dream, stood up and grbabed a guy walking past by his suit. I asked him what my dream name was, as this was the basic task on http://www.dreamview.com. He told me tostop being stupid and to do some work. I told him I knew this was a dream, so I grabbed his jacket and slammed him against the window, then asked him again what my dream name was. He smirked and said Derek, knowing I hate that name. I grabbed him and slammed him onto a desk, smashing a couple of computers. He struggled to his feet and I grabbed him again and asked him what my dream name was. He told me that it was Jack. I pushed him backwards and said that was just my nickname in the real world. He told me that it was my dream name too.

I then had another false awakening.

      False Awakening #3:
I got out of my bed, walked down the stairs and began cooking a steak. Suddenly I realised someone else was in the kitchen. I turned around and there was a man standing behind me. He told me he was going to help me cook the steak, but I had to burn it to give it more flavour. I told him I refused to burn a steak, but he told me it would give it a better taste. I shouted at him that it wouldn't, but he yelled it would. I asked him if this was a dream, and he looked at his feet and said yes rather timedly. I woke up.

I'd just like to point out a couple of side effects from this experiment. The first was the bad stomach ache I got, which I resolved with a cup of tea. The second side effect was the fact that I ended up sleeping for about 10 hours. Far more than I actually wanted to, and I slept through my alarm.
