      Help with Late Sleeping Times

      Hey guys,
I need some help in the sleeping department. For a couple of years now I've been unable to sleep at normal times. I won't say I have insomnia, because I don't, but it did seem so at first.
I do eventually fall asleep, but not until the early morning hours (2:30 - 3:00 AM). I'll stay up somewhere in the house until 2-ish, and then lie awake in bed until I finally fall asleep.
Any tips on getting back to normal sleep hours?

Firstly, what is your diet like, and do you exercise? Secondly, how long do you sleep for on a regular night? Also, do you drink alcohol regularly?

I usually eat much meat and drink mostly juices, no soft drinks. I'll only eat salad if my grandmother forces it on me at a family gathering. Although I'll be fasting for the next couple of weeks so any change in diet would most likely have to wait.
In terms of excercise, during the winter months (now), I'll only do something once weekly during school, but the summer months do include more activity.
I'd say I sleep somewhere between 5-6 hours a night. I have to be up at 8 every morning to make my 10 o'clock class.
And no, I don't drink regularly.

I am very much like you, I like to fall asleep later too, but what i found that helps is complete exaustion. IF its winter, go outside and just shovel snow and chop ice. If there isnt any snow, start running around the block. Then, when your nice and cold/tired, run inside, grab a blanket, and curl up and just don't think. After what will feel like hours, youll drift into sleep. It may not be effective for getting lucids, but it is a step to changing your body's system to letting you fall asleep at a better time, like midnight.
      Bollocks.

A lot of juice is a lot of sugar, which probably doesn't help. In fact, "a lot" of anything is not good, but then again we might not agree on what constitutes "a lot"... ?

I think exercise is really important to have good sleep patterns. Try to go to a gym or play DDR or something in the winter. Also, staring at the computer or TV screen for a long time tends to have negative effects on the ability to fall asleep.

Having said that though, going to sleep at 2 or 3 and getting 5-6 hours of sleep doesn't seem abnormal to me... Does it make you tired during the day though?

Not really, the only times I feel tired during the day is whenever I get bored, but that's normal.
Should I not even bother correcting it?
