Sure fire way to fall asleep

Ok, so I am the master of sleep, I can take a nap after sleeping for like 24 hours hehe.

So here we go, the best way to fall asleep is....

      are you ready--->?

Just lay down don't move and don't think. You'll fall asleep quick I promise.

Not thinking is a lot harder in practice than in theory. Buddhist monks spend their entire lives trying to master it.

      Regardless, it is indeed effective.

See, my problem is that i'm in a relatively noisy house. We live on an active street, and my sister works a earlier shift so she gets up really late, and is near deaf so she turns the TV on really loud. So I find it hard to fall asleep, since I have good hearing and can hear everything on the tv. Got any thing for that?
      Bollocks.

Meditation is the simplest way, but which method is best is another matter. I would say whatever works best for you is best, so look around the net and try out a few methods.

I dunno, i'm lucky, i'm usually sick all the time so I have pressure in my head....I just focus on the pressure...I just focus on feeling the pressure rather.

I'm not sure where...but they do have headphone earplugs somewheres...though you will probably have to look around to find comfortable ones.

      This is something someone uses..heh

"Mack's SafeSound Soft Foam Earplugs are amazing. They don't block out all noise - you can still hear the alarm clock in the morning and certain small noises like the cling of a tin can hitting the desk. You can hear coughing etc. It does block out the bass from loud music, the faucet, the tapping of the key board-etc. I'm a college student and my roommate and neighbors are loud all night/morning long. I get the best sleep from these comfortable beauties. I love them! A+"

This technique doesn't work because it is impossible not to think, otherwise you are dead. Maybe you mean try to not think very hard but otherwise that doesn't work.

The trying not to think part is what gets me.

Thats not true...I don't think all the time...you simply focus on experiencing sensory input, and thats it.

Not thinking is just not thinking about anything...basically not having words in your head, or images.

Yes, but focusing on experiencing sensory input IS thinking.

MOVE IT TO PHILOPSHY IF YOU'RE GOING TO TRY AND FIGURE OUT THE IDEA OF NOT THINKING.

      The end.
You do this every fucking time.
      No sweat.
      No tears.
      No guilt.
You do this every fucking time.

I agree, this is a very simple and effective method.
I tried it this morning when i did WBTB after 4,5 hours, but i never fell asleep again.
I laid there for about 1 hour, but usually it works

i agree, this does work. the way i get to clear my head is by breathing in "nothing" and exhaling all my thoughts, and all stress, etc. i am asleep shortly after that. hehe. now, to work on getting lucid...havent yet. but i will soon!!
The wall is silence, the grass is sleep,
Tall trees of peace their vigil keep,
And the Fairy of Dreams with moth-wings furled
Plays soft on her flute to the drowsy world.
