When I wake up sometimes... does this happen to you?

Sometimes if I wake up in the night (or early morning) I find it very hard to get back to sleep. I can't stop moving around, I constantly feel uncomfortable, I move around alot and my mind is really active. I am constantly thinking about something (allways 1 topic, my mind doesnt really wander) and I literally cant stop thinking about it. Its like a miniature film. Its like i'm thinking about this one thing so constantly it keeps me awake, along with feeling uncomfortable. Its kind of wierd and hard to explain, it can vary how long it lasts, but its very annoying, the constant moving gets me pretty wide awake...

Anyone else have this / anyone know what it is?

My only idea is that its like still partially being in REM sleep, while being awake? And the uncomfortable feeling could maybe be when your body tests to see if your awake before going into SP? (Read something about that in a WILD tutorial) if thats the case i might be able to WILD if i can stop moving.

Yes, I've had this happen to me on serveral occasions, especially if I'm stressed. I don't always move around that much, but I can't stop thinking about 1 topic that seems pointless, and it will often be like I'm dreaming. I don't think this has anything to do with REM sleep at all. When in REM, your eyes will be rapidly moving around, and your body will be paralysed. I'm guessing it might be some sort of stressed, mixed with some non REM dreams.

I would love to hear what other people have to say on this.

To be honest, this is strange. But I think I can agree, sometimes when I wake up in the middle of the night I start over heating (as the term goes). And then I start hating the night and get very scared. Unless I use an inner subconscious method and tell myself how I love my bed and possibly how much it loves me sleeping on it.

Its quite the opposite for me. I tend to fall asleep in 2, 3 minutes when I wake up, and go to sleep again.

Yeah same for me alot of the time, this only happens on some occasions.

I don't think I was really strssed (although it was before 1st day at school, end of weekend + monday off, lol.) and this hasnt happened in ages, first time since i found out about LDing

Also the topic i kept thinking about was the Novus from the game Universe at War, I had been playing that alot the day before.
