      Couldn't breathe

Last night I had a pretty realistic and frightening dream.

I had dream that for some reason we were at someones house and we were putting on a musical, and we were rehearsing the dancing sequences, going all around the house. I was dancing to, and it had becomee quite hard because I remember in the dream I had begun to have trouble breathing, and then when I actually woke up (soon after that), I couldn't breathe and my eyes were watering, a lot. I had to sit up for 2 or 3 minutes to get my breath back. I know this isn't normal, it's never happenened to me before and was rather quite painful. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Could it be asthma? Do you have phlegm, did you cough? How long were you not able to breath after you woke up? And did you wake at an odd hour?

It might just have been something you triggered from waking up, and the stress maybe did it. I've had something similar happen.
