Question Grinding teeth in sleep... Problem for inducing LD's?

      Hey there,

I have grinded my teeth in my sleep for as long as i can remeber my mum telling me so. Im not too sure of the condition or WHY i do it but it seems to be a regular occurence. My parents cannot pin point WHEN i do it cause their heads are filled with LOTS of other crap to be precise about it lol.

My question is, can grinding your teeth in your sleep be a problem when it comes to inducing lucid dreams? I don't know of any evidence to support this in anyway, but i am asking this out of curiosity.

My dream recal is fantastic as when im not stressed or head filled with other things and on a normal night i can usualy remeber 3-4 vivid normal dreams a night.

So if anyone knows of any reason why grinding my teeth in my sleep would perhaps lead to a problem of inducing lucid dreams then id like to know about it =)

please noone post without any informed answers or anyone just looking for another post to add to their name. Helpful only =)

      as always,

      Cheers

I do the same thing, i've been doing it since highschool. It hasn't affected my lucid dreaming, first time having multiple lucids in one night not long ago. I do however wake up with my teeth clenched shut, and i am starting to develope some dental problems (teeth wearing away, sensitive to ice blah blah)
Don't know how to help, but it doesn't affect lucid dreaming to the best of my knowledge.

      ok cool =)

thanks for the reply. I have the same problems with my teeth like overly sensitive and wearing away as well but dentists should sort that out.

on the lucid dreaming front, i am asking this as i have not had a lucid dream in a long time and i am narrowing down the possibilities to help me become lucid.

and again, cheers for the reply

Umm.. I have the same problem but it doesn't effect my lucid dreaming or dreaming in general. But If your grinding your teeth than you should go to the dentist and get a custom mouth guard.

you can also get those "guard rite" things they are only like 20 dollars and are much smaller and more comfortable than the dentist one. The dentist one is like 150 dollars. I used togrind my teeth. You should do something bout it or your teeth will start to hurt and become sensetive.

I know my friends daughter does that. My friend has pin pointed it too everytime her daughter has had a really stressful day or is really worried about something.....
