Room Temperature
I wasn't totally sure where this post would belong, but it has most to do with sleep.
I have a problem in my room. I can't get the temperature just right to sleep. It feels like an oven when I try to go to sleep. When I wake up, I am certain that I am in the early stages of hypothermia. Needless to say, this causes me to take longer to fall asleep than I would like and makes it very difficult to overcome inertia and get out of bed in the morning.
My room has a single window that is closest to my feet. Due to it's proximity to the closet, I cannot put my head to the window.
What are some of your tricks and arrangements to get just the right balance of heat and cold? What do you consider an ideal temperature?

Hmmm, you could try using a fan. Or if your really hot you could try taking an ice pack underneath your pillow. Try opening the window too, but also make sure the door is open as well. For some reason bad odors, and tempurature change quicker and easier when you have the door open too. When the room is at a comfy tempurature again then you can go to sleep.
As for waking up and nearly dieing of hypothermia, you could try sleeping with your clothes on, or simply fold them nicely and place them by your pillow so you can put them on without getting out of bed.

Yea, best is to have like a pair of socks (if you sleep barefoot I always sleep with socks on) and like a hoody underneath you or under the covers while you sleep. Then when you wake up you can slip them on and they'll be nice and toasty :)
