      Troubles staying asleep

Ok so, first day of work. I go to school and make it through that just fine. I go home and get ready for my first day.

I go to work and they take me through some things and I start cleaning (yipee :/).

So I get out and go home. I play on the computer for a couple of hours and I'm feeling tired. So I go straight to bed and fall asleep pretty easily...what do I do a couple hours later?

I wake up and I'm feeling completely awake.

Same thing happened to me last night. I go to bed around 10:00. I wake up at 1:00 in the morning, and didn't go back to bed until 5:00, only to wake up 2 hours later for school (which was also my first day of work.)

I'm really having troubles staying asleep, and when I wake up after like 2 hours of sleep, I'm completely awake. I need help getting to sleep, and staying asleep. Any suggestions?

If it's only been happening for the last two nights, I wouldn't worry too much about it. It's annoying, yes, but it's likely that after a while your body will readjust itself back into a normal sleeping pattern.

Are you getting enough exercise during the day? Do you eat right before you go to bed? Do you drink anything caffeinated before bed? Have you changed your bed time? Any of those things might affect how well you sleep during the night.

When you wake up in the middle of the night, if you find it's hard to get back to sleep, you can get up but don't do anything that would wake you up too much (watching TV, playing video games, etc.). Rather, read a book or listen to some quiet music and then try falling asleep again.
