Isn't there a difference

Isn't there a difference between being sleepy and tired? I always thought that your eyes are sleepy and your body was tired.

Um, I'm not an expert on sleep or anything but yeah there's a difference between being sleepy and being tired. Sleepy is like when someone awakens you from your sleep or if you stay up late at night and then you're dieing to get into bed. Tired is like fatigue or when you're worn out from working or have had sleepless nights. Tiredness is also like when you sleep for a looong time and awaken and feel weird. You aren't sleepy but you're not rested. Tiredness is hard to overcome. Also, being sleepy is like if you take a pain killer with a sleep agent in it and then don't lay down. Eventually you become very sleepy. I hope this helps.
