Soda & Dreaming
I couldn't find this topic using the search, so sorry if this has been covered. I know drinking soda has negative health benefits, but does it hinder dream recall, or the ability to dream more clearly? When summer comes I plan on switching to a polyphasic sleep schedule, so I plan on dropping soda and junk foods altogether to avoid any health issues...

I'm also starting a polyphasic sleep schedule this summer :) I'm dropping sodas such as coke and anything with caffine which might make it harder to get to sleep on time... I don't know the details of how food/drink affects sleep, but it makes sense that eating healthier would help you get to sleep sooner. Plus it helps to wait a while after eating before going to bed (easier on the digestive system).

What nautilus said is true. For the digestion, it's better to stop eating 3h before going to bed. To add on, it's said that 1h before midnight is like 3hrs after :)
