      Sleeping issues sometimes..

Almost every night when I lay down to go to sleep I lay there for at least an hour trying to go to sleep. Which if I'm extremely tired its usually easy to sleep. I'm not sure if it's just because it's summer and my sleep schedule is kind of off from school, but it really bugs me. Even if I don't have anything to do the next day I keep sitting up every 5 minutes looking at the clock thinking "god i need to go to sleep I'll be so tired tomorrow" and I just can't sleep...but finally I do fall asleep. I usually get about 8 or 9 hours asleep and don't lay down early or anything. Lately it's been about going to bed at 4 A.M. and sleeping in until about 2 or 3 P.M.

I'm not sure if it's just because of the hours i sleep or if its something more serious? (i wouldn't really know what that could be if thats the case)

Do you exercise? I'm yet to see a person who doesn't fall asleep after an intense workout. Are you stressed? Troubled? Depressed? Like 1-2 years ago I was going through some tough times in my life. During several months I could lay awake for many hours just thinking about my real life problems, school work I should do, friends and family I should spend more time with. Exercise really helps you get your mind off things. If you exercise regularly you won't have the energy to worry about things. Unfortunetely, I didn't exercise, or did anything else for that matter. I just endured the pain. If you have a similar problem you should probably talk to a psychologist, it really hepls. Now I'm back on track totally and I sleep like a baby every day.

Actually yeah I do. Which makes sense I usually do it about 12 or 1 because its usually too hot during the day or i dont have time. But sometimes I do just think about all my problems when laying down...thats probly the reason

Yes exercise is one thing, I am in the same boat as you. For me I do exercise and stuff, and I read for atleast an hour before i go to bed. I try to sleep at about 3:00 am or 3:30 am, but a few nights I've been up until about 6:30 am thinking and stuff like that. One thing you might want to try is waking up earlier. Try to get up at about noon to 1:00 pm atleast, and for sure exercise.

Exercising right before bed disrupts some individuals sleep. Here is an article:
