      Problem: Living in two realities

I have this problem and hopefully someone on this forum can classify this for me or give me some advice.

This is difficult to explain but while I am in bed trying to fall asleep or if I have just woken up in the middle of the night I feel like I am in a dream but I am 100% positive that it is not one. I do not usually see anything but while I am laying there in bed I am convinced that I'm doing something else. This is a problem because my brain is racing around thinking about doing something that I'm not really doing. While this is happening I am not in Sleep Paralysis I can freely move around and I KNOW that I am still in bed but I'm CONVINCED I'm doing something else this causes me to move around a lot and really disrupts me falling asleep and is often very uncomfortable I could almost explain it as living in two realities at once.

This might not seem clear so an example:

After laying in bed for awhile and not able to fall asleep I suddenly feel like I am on my laptop playing a video game. It seems so real but I open my eyes and I see my bedsheets and know that I am awake but I am still convinced that I'm playing this game. I am so convinced that at one point I grab for the other side of my bed expecting my laptop to be there but it isn't. This is usually followed by a lot of rolling around in bed and I come out of this state.

If someone could help me out it would be great
