      Question About Sleep

I recently started school and it started a problem. I've always had this problem in the past too. Some night I sit in my bed and lay down and cannot fall asleep. I lay there the whole night thinking and before you know it it's time for school and got 0 sleep. Thing is if I usually pull this off i'm REALLY tired the next day. But really I felt refreshed the next morning and went the whole day not tired. So I guess what i'm getting at is me laying there in bed all night actually count as sleeping? It's just weird cause I can go the whole night without sleep but still make it through the next day without feeling tired. Any opionions appreciated! Thanks

Im no pro at this, but id say that even if you dont sleep, your mind still gets enough rest to function the next day. If you force your self to stay awake by example playing video games, your mind wont get the needed sleep, but if you lie down and only half sleep, you are still resting.

I have something simmilar. Sometimes, like once a month, I fell like I dont need sleep at all, like my body has gotten enough sleep the last 30 nights. Il go the whole night without sleep and i dont feel any more tired than usual the next day. But if I do something that requiers me to use more "thinking power" Il be more tired the next day.

Altough, if I force myself to be awake a whole night il get sick the next day around 18:00. Il get so sick that I cant stay awake, but I cant sleep either. So I have to take some sleeping medication to fall asleep.
