How can I sleep better at night?

I've been having trouble sleeping lately. Ok first of all. I sleep on a couch. I dont have a bed in my room. So I feel sore every time I wake up every morning. I dont remember the last time I've slept in a REAL bed. And this is causing me lack of dreaming and it makes my back hurt every day and I get really tired I cant think. I tell you my couch isn't soft.

I don't know what to do with this. My room isnt big enough to fit a bed in it. And I have double doors. What can I do to fix this problem? I cant seem to have a good nights sleep. And my blankets and pillow isnt that great either :/ A bed cant fit in my room. It sucks.

Hmmm. I have no idea what to do about the bed problem. I have a bed in my room and I cherish it. I do my hw on it, I watch tv on it, I do stuff on the computer on it, and I sleep on it.

I'm thinking...well you said "my blankets and pillow isnt that great either". Maybe you can buy more blankets and make a pellet. A pellet is just a bunch of blankets folded in half and pilled on top of each other to form a bed. I used to make them when I slept on the ground at my friends house and they were pretty comfy given that I was sleeping on the ground. You could maybe put the pellet on the couch. It'll add some extra cushion.

Edited: Lol, correction. I think it's called a pallet. Either way.

I have a technqiue that I've read a while back and a few of my friends have tested it out with great success. It wouldn't help you at all with your sore back problems but it could definatley help you fall asleep faster. Your supposed to lay on a wooden floor, counter, or any object thats more uncomfterable then your couch if thats possible. Make sure you do this when your tired. Then after about 15-30 minutes when you go lay on your couch your body will be so gratefull to be comfterable it will embrace the oppurtunity to get some sleep. It's araid that you might go back to that surface so hopefully it will work efficiently and quickly for you.
Sorry about the spelling mistakes btw! I'm at school and don't have spell check here so I tend to Epically fail. - Zerk

When it’s time to sleep, make sure that your environment is dark. Even dim lights—especially those from TV or computer screens—can confuse the body clock. Heavy shades can help block light from windows, or you can try an eye mask to cover your eyes.

Stay away from the thoughts, they only forbid and interrupt sleep. Best way is to do some push ups, sit ups, or workouts to get u tired to get u to sleep. This will message your mind that your need the rest..

Couch needs to be more level, you're probably getting uneven pressure on different points. cut a piece of plywood that fits across the couch under the cushions this will level it out and make it better, you could also try a single air mattress instead of your cushions...sand and duct tape the edges face and corners of the wood so you don't puncture it.

you can tuck the air mat behind the couch during the day.

Don't waste your time with a fold out bed....they use those in hell.

      2.Avoid alcohol.

3.Get to bed as early as possibl

4.Keep the temperature in the bedroom no higher than 70 degrees F

5.Put your work away at least one hour (but preferably two or more) before bed
