Aware of brain falling asleep?

This has happened to me only a few times, including last night. I instantly became lucid as I was falling asleep, and I felt my body unable to move and my brain start to shut down. It started to feel unpleasant, similar to the feeling when I once passed out, so I woke myself up. When this has happened, it has always given me an unpleasant feeling in my head, including one time when I got a bad headache temporarily.

Does anyone else have this happen to them, and why would this give me a headache?

This is call WILD, Wake Induced Lucid Dream. Dunno about the headache.

This type of head ache is not uncommon when you have what the medical field calls a healing crisis. Simply put detox.

When you let go of stress/ors in any and the many forms the body/mind responds reflexively. When deep mental relaxation takes place at first you may experience physical, mental, & emotional change & or discomfort.

Be easy with it. Understand much like false awakenings you may require sincere observation & reflection. Expecially your first LD, WILD or OBE will force you to reorganize your nuclear beliefs there by disturbing your composition.

The brain doesn't shut down in sleep. Don't try to wake up, relax and let things happen. It may be frightening, but there's nothing harmful about it. See it as an opportunity for exploration. Observe!

The same state you can also induce with meditation. You won't feel your body anymore and your mind becomes still like a waveless water surface. I think this is a wonderful state.
