If you complete a current TOTM, you will be able to vote on suggestions for the next month!

Introduction:
This topic is for the Lucid Tasks that are assigned by the Lucid Task Club and the On-Topic Administrator. Please attempt any or all of these tasks throughout the month.

Report back in this thread, even if you didn't successfully accomplish the task. Your efforts should make interesting reading! This is required in order to get credit, it is no longer sufficient just to say that you did it.

How to get your wings

When you post about another successful attempt, please tell me if it was your first or second task from basic or advanced tasks, or first, second... seventh task from the task of the year. I need to know this so I know which wings to give you. If you only say "completed TOTY - flying car" , this doesn't tell me which wings with how many stars should I give you.

Please, make sure you post here your attempts both failures and successes, this will make this post much more dynamic.

Whoever completes any of these tasks gets the following goodies until the end of the month:

• Your name will be displayed in ORANGE in the online members list at the bottom of the main forum page.
• You will receive a special title and badge.
• You will receive access to the "Lucid Task Club" which is a limited access forum for people that complete a lucid task each month. Members of this club can vote for submitted suggestions for the next month's tasks. Access to the Lucid Task Club will also grant you early access to the next month's tasks, giving you a 2-3 day window to keep your wings for the following month.

Tasks for this month:

Basic Task i - Divide by zero with a calculator. (Nefets)
Basic Task ii - Get hypnotized or hypnotize someone. Report what happens and feels like in the dream. (Yorkshire Rose)

Advanced Task i - Use a hat to "capture" someone (or something) and control their mind and body. (spellbee2)
Advanced Task ii - Mix any and/or every item you can find in the dream into a blender and make a smoothie. Drink and report the taste. (ParanoidLlama)

BONUS TASK!! - Have a synesthesic experience (see sound, smell touch, taste colour etc.) (Naturespirit)

APRIL'S BEGINNER TASKS: (Anybody feel free to have fun with these, but you'll get wings only if you are a beginner. Some will change each month!)

1. Slow down, look around, describe what you see.
2. Touch the ground. What is it? Grass, asphalt?

4. Add or remove a piece of clothing.

In our apartment I looked around the room, and everything seemed in place. I put my hands to the light and looked at my palm, which looked normal. I looked at pictures on the black closet. There were lots of tiny pictures. I looked closely at them, trying to take in detail.

I attempted to read ingredient labels, which was funny because they looked roughly convincing at a glance, but when read closely, they looked like made up ingredients.

I've always thought it would be a mind-blowing experience to be hypnotized. If I ever get a change in waking life I'm 100% gonna. So Basic II is obviously the task I'm most focused on. Although, Advanced II seems frikken good as well..

Man I can't relate, math is my least favorite subject, but I'm glad someone's out there enjoying it! Math people are necessary for the world to function. Also I see what u did there with ur LD Count lol. Clever.

It's been so long since I have done a task officially. I think I've done the hypnosis task already but, I try again for this month. It's the day before the Lucid Dreaming day So Lucid Dream is a must!! :D Going to try to do Advanced Task i (spellbee2) and Advanced Task ii (ParanoidLlama).
ParanoidLlama's task reminds me of the "Bass Omatic. :P SNL.

Okay. To divide by zero I have to make a cluckolator appear. And then the buttons have to be the same as waking life. I am excited to find out what kind of curve ball my dream would throw me. My main thing with dream tasks is I get lucid, but don't remember them, or the dream fades before I get a chance. Any tips on remembering dream goals better?

...I think to explore there, but hesitated when I remembered not getting a TOTM done in a while. Of the tasks, I could only recall synesthesia. So, I point to the clouds, and 'sap' the white color out of them, so to speak. I then drink the resulting inky light. Well, part of it, anyway, as it tasted unbearably iron-y and bitter, probably even toxic.
