I'm using Internet Explorer on an XP system
I will have my main internet window open. Some links will open into a second smaller window. When I close out of that second window, that causes the first window to close as well. Sucks if you have a few tabs open in the first window, lol
I've tried to look for a setting under Tools> Internet Options> Advanced, but didn't find anything. Didn't find anything with a Google search either
Anyone know how to fix the problem? Thanks
IE does the grouped-tabs thing, so what happens to one happens to the other.

No, I know that if you close a window with multiple tabs it'll ask if you want to close out of all the tabs
My problem is having 2 windows open, unless that falls under the same thing?
The more important question is why are you using IE.
Your problem is your browser doing stupid shit that you don't want. Get a browser that doesn't do that. Like Firefox.Quote:

Tried to fix it with Restore and did nothing. Told them that upgrading to IE8 or another web browser may solve the problem
pro tip: get a flash drive, install firefox portable to it. Plug and play.
