I couldn't find the answer anywhere on google. I tried using textedit and MS word, but neither would let me save as a .php document. I want to imbed a wordpress blog on my website and am following a guide, but it requires me to make six different .php files. Can't figure out how.

Isn't a PHP file just plaintext code, similar to HTML files? You don't actually need to compile them or anything.

in textedit go Format -> Make Plain Text, then save it as a php file. I prefer XCode, but that's a massive install for just a php editor.
