My friend recently had an odd problem with Windows Vista's Instant Search feature.
Whenever he presses the Windows button, and then tries to start a search with "c" or "v", Windows Explorer crashes :?
Any ideas?

Hey Webmaster, i had a similar problem but with the XP search function, it would just crash on me when i searched for something.
I too have Vista but never experienced this problem, i wish i could offer more help, i searched on google to see if anyone else had similar problems but could not find much information that would be useful. You could try a system restore or something similar, that usually fixes things for me, just back up your files and all. But if you don't want to, go ahead and PM me with a more detailed description because i may be able to help if you give me more details :)
Just tried it, no problems here...
I tried searching too, couldn't find anything. I was going to suggest a restore, but he just got the computer and the only restore point would delete all of the new programs and settings... and put back the bloatware :eek:Quote:
