hey guys, my friend wants an alienware computer and has the cash for it. She picked a 700w power supply for it, but i was wondering if it needed 1000w, which was the other option.
It has a quad core and that card and im sure they use a lot of power, also is liquid cooling necessary for them?
quick google says the 8800gtx has a max draw of 225w

A 700W should run it without problems, if the brand is good. Anything upwards of a 600W should be fine, but make sure it's got plenty of power on the 12V rails. I'd go with the 1000W just because it leaves room for expansion, though.
