Yuck, ideas?

Downloaded an update of the latest java last night.

After starting the pc up again this morning, all the fu*king menus are transparent, and i have to roll over to get up the options.

Iv'e restarted the computer (duh) multiple times, to no avail.

I have no experience with menu problems, so any help would be appreciated.

I'm not sure if it was even java, but it was the last thing i had done.

Googled, to the point of wasting a chunk of my life.

Hmm, well, Java is as much of an independent software product as anything else, really.
I'm assuming you're under Windows so are you using any custom interface software?
And can you describe in more detail what's going on? Which menus are bugged? Perhaps a screenshot?
