Live Messenger: Changing e-mail address?

As embarassing as it is, I can't seem to figure out how to switch the e-mail address that my Live Messenger account identifies by.

Before Live Messenger, when it was simply MSN Messenger but perhaps still had the ability to be registered from any e-mail address but I simply wasn't aware, I created a Hotmail account just for it. Now, I want to change it to my main e-mail address, the one I actually use for e-mail...but can't find how!

I've looked through the messenger settings including those that lead to the online profile and all such but...nothing.

Perhaps I'm blind or perhaps just haven't dug deep enough into the messenger and its peculiarities but...is there anyone around that has?
I'd appreciate the help!

I don't think you can...
You'll have to create a new msn account and just import your contacts into it from your old one. That's what i had to do.
