I just installed the sims 1 on my vista laptop, and I'm stuck at the part when all the expansion packs load. Does anyone know a way I can get past this, because I'd like to play it...

I don't think the Sims 1 works on Vista.
Sims 2 does though.
Isn't there a compatibility mode you can run in? Try right-clicking on the exe or the shortcut and looking for something along the lines of compatibility mode...
Maybe if you just restart and rerun the installation it might work
The best thing to do it to take you vista laptop, find a hammer, and smash it. It'll work better that way :P
Replicon should be right, but it's not in the right clock menu. It's under properties (or whatever Vista renamed that.) There should be a compatibility tab.
also, try running with admin privileges
To fix any and all of Vista(R)'s ProbemsTM, just follow these simple steps!
1. Buy Microsoft(R)'s pateneted "Virus removerTM"
2. Open package
3. Close Computer if laptop, else just unplug and set computer on a table
4. Apply metalic end to Computer several times. Brutally. Once inside, you want to aim for the Processor and the Hard Drive, the Mother Board as well.
Vista is now fully virus and bug free and is ready for optimal use! :)
Did you really expect to play games with Vista?
Wait, never mind I got it
You know, you can quote multiple times in one post. What do you think that poorly drawn "++ QUOTE" button is for?
*sigh*
:shakehead2:
I guess that's why you're using Ubuntu now?
