Never owned an Ipod
but I can recommend the Creative players
They're built like brick shit-houses
They're a little bit more expensive than you've quoted
2Gb for £75

4Gb for £80

I have owned two iPods, and can recommend them, except that they really aren't 'built like brick shit-houses'.
You really have to take care of them, and get some kind of protective cover for them as soon as you can. I didn't do this on my first iPod, and it broke when I dropped it :(

I drop my Ipod mini all the time. Takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'!
But I really don't like the software to use it. For instance, if you happen to wipe your hard drive for whatever reason, all the songs on your Ipod get removed the next time you plug it in, and you have to reload everything. What a pain.
If you're at all interested in the recording capabilities of MP3 players (For concerts and stuff) I recommend the Nomad.
I would actualy get a phone that plays MP3s and you can always upgrade the memory space. Plus with stereo bluetooth, there is no damn wires to hold you down. Great for running, driving, sitting, anything. I always see people with there ipods and sansa or zune, and I'm like you got the best kind, I'm like sure you do. dumbasses, cellphone is the way to go.
ZUNE
do it
Seconded. iPods are really expensive for no good reason. If you want to listen to your mp3's on a little digital device, I think iPod is the worst way to go, cause you pay like $400 more than you need to.
Of course, if you want to watch movies on a window the size of a postage stamp (why the hell would anyone want to do that anyway?), then be my guest and get an iPod :D
If you live in the US (and if you don't, you might be able to get it shipped to you), there is a REAL good deal going on right now for the Sansa Express 2GB. At Office Depot, you can get one for $30.00 after the $40.00 off.
It has a USB end so it works like a USB stick and you don't need to carry around cables. It has FM radio, FM radio recorder, a mic for recording, it has a microSD slot for memory expansion and it's pretty small. It comes with crappy headphones, but so does every single mp3 player on the market.
I just bought myself one a few days ago, and I'm pretty happy with it for my needs - running and listening to a trance induction at night and for carrying files around when needed.
If you're looking for a good all around player, you can't go wrong with it. I had an issue with it the first day (i bricked my player when messing around with files) but i was able to fix it pretty quick and now it's working flawlessly.
There only weigh 4.5 ounces.
LOL!!!!
God I hope that was sarcastic.
Pounds are english currency. I'f I'm right it's 2 pounds to one dollar, or other way around, i forget. The pound is stronger.
No shit sherlock. I was kidding. Hence "LOL".
Our economy is chokin down a big black wee-wee right now btw.
